Announce Meetings and Events

This form is provided for submitting announcements of meetings, workshops, symposia and other events of general interest to the aquatic sciences community. Announcements will be reviewed for appropriate content and posted as soon as possible. Announcements of workshops and other events held by for-profit firms may be considered advertisements and may be referred to the ASLO Business Office. Please follow the format of the examples provided for each field.

Please provide ALL the following information, using previous announcements as a guide.

Enter a short Title for this announcement. This should be the publicized name of the event; e.g. ASLO/AGU Ocean Sciences Meeting.

Enter the Location of the event. Example: San Diego, California

Enter the Dates of the event in the following format: 1-5 December 1999.

Enter the body of your announcement in this field. It is not necessary to stay within the space provided. Your input can be any reasonable length. Format the message so that it appears within the text box as you wish it to appear on the page. If your browser does not automatically wrap text within the text box, use the ENTER key to break lines that go beyond the right edge of the text box. Please follow the format of previous announcements and include the following subheadings in the section:

Enter the Closing Date for the announcement, after which the announcement should be removed.

Enter a valid e-mail Contact Address for further information, in the following format: webeditor@aslo.org. Your email will not appear on the Meetings and Events Page. We will contact you if there is any problem with your announcement information.

After you click on "Preview Announcement", you will have a chance to review and modify it. Your announcement will then be stored for approval by a web page administrator, after which it will appear on the Meetings and Events Page. All announcements appear in order of submission, newest ones at the top of the page.
